Representation & accountability
Who makes decisions, how residents are represented, and whether public officials answer clear questions with clear explanations.
Hi, I'm Kaz.
I’m a Columbus resident who works in technology, flies airplanes and gliders, and pays attention to the decisions shaping our city. I care about accountability, privacy, and making government easier to understand.
City government isn't abstract. It shapes the streets we use, the technology agencies deploy, and how people are represented. I believe residents should be able to follow those decisions and make their voices count.
Who makes decisions, how residents are represented, and whether public officials answer clear questions with clear explanations.
My IT background shapes how I think about government systems: what data they collect, who can access it, and what safeguards really mean.
I prefer reading original documents, checking the details, and distinguishing what can be verified from what is still an open question.
I’ve spoken at local government meetings about technology and privacy, followed debates about representation, and spent time looking into the policies behind public decisions. I speak for myself as a Columbus resident—not on behalf of an organization.
I believe a good question is worth asking—whether it's about a city policy, a broken computer, or an airplane.
My day-to-day is hands-on IT support: diagnosing problems, untangling systems, and finding practical solutions. Outside work, I fly airplanes and gliders, read about subjects I don't yet understand, and pay attention to what's happening in Columbus. I bring the same curiosity to City Hall that I bring to troubleshooting: understand the system before proposing a fix.
I value evidence, direct conversation, and being willing to change my mind when the facts change.
IT, flight, and a habit of digging into the details. These interests shape how I approach public problems, too.
Field support, systems troubleshooting, and making everyday technology work the way people need it to.
Airplanes, gliders, and a long-term fascination with what it takes to turn a passion for flying into a career.
I like working from primary sources, asking precise questions, and learning from people who know more than I do.
There is more to a person than what they do at work—or what they say at a public meeting.
Airplanes and gliders, and the constant challenge of getting better at something I love.
New places, time outdoors, and seeing things from a different perspective.
Science, technology, a good film, or the next unexpected topic worth diving into.
